Worldwide, 369 EQBs built in the year 2022 have to be returned to the workshop. The measure is due to a faulty material specification of the upper B-pillar panelling and the kerb trim. This can lead to a limited function of the airbag due to its damage. In addition, component fractures can partition parts of the panelling into the vehicle interior and hit the occupants.
In the workshop, the B-pillar and side panel trim are replaced. The KBA monitors the measure under the reference number “012645“, and the internal code is “6891207“.

What the owner should do?
If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.
If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
