Leaking fuel may ignite on hot parts in four Ford models

ford-fire-risk--recall

Ford is recalling 524,754 vehicles of the Fiesta, Puma, Transit Courier and Tourneo Curier model series manufactured between 19. 11. 2021 and 24. 9. 2024. The reason for the recall is the fuel line that may rub against surrounding components and leak. Leaking fuel may ignite on hot parts in the engine compartment and cause a fire.

At an authorised workshop, a revised fuel line support bracket is installed or, if necessary, the fuel line is replaced.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “14981R“. The internal manufacturer code is “25S10“.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
