Land Rover Range Rover Velar: The tilt sensor incorrect configuration

Land_Rover-Range_Rover_Velar-tilt-sensor-kba

Land Rover is recalling 3,212 Range Rover Velar vehicles built in 2023 worldwide. The reason for the recall is the incorrect configuration setting of the tilt sensor (for the vehicle alarm system) leads to missing warnings to the driver. The vehicles therefore do not comply with UN-ECE R116. If a vehicle has the wrong configuration for the tilt sensor, no alarms are activated that are triggered by the signal from the tilt sensor.

The update is carried out in the workshop of the vehicle configuration file (CCF) to activate the tilt sensor.

The KBA monitors the recall under the reference number “013409” and the internal manufacturer code is “N822“.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
