Land Rover: Fire risk due to damage to the coolant pump drive belt

Land Rover is recalling 53,352 Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Range Rover Velar and Defender vehicles built between 2018 and 2023. The reason for the measure is damage to the coolant pump drive belt. As a result, the pump may fail, and part of the coolant circuit line may break. There is a risk of fire.

The engine coolant line and the affected elbow are replaced in the workshop. The KBA is investigating the incident under reference number “012839“; the internal manufacturer code is “N785“.
