Land Rover Discovery: The doors can open unintentionally while driving

Land-Rover-Discovery-2016-door-open-unintentionally-kba

Land Rover is recalling 36,303 Discovery vehicles built between 2016 and 2020. The reason for the recall is that water entering the locking system can corrode the locking mechanism of the rear doors. This can lead to a condition of false locking, whereby the doors can open unintentionally while driving. This issue only affects vehicles fitted with the Unilatch Keyless Vehicle (KV) entry function.

The KBA monitors the measure with the reference number: “013200” and the internal manufacturer code is: “N798“.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
