Kia is recalling 254,411 Niro and Sportage models built between 2022 and 2023. The reason for the recall is a malfunction during system start-up, which can lead to a failure of the instrument cluster.
The workshop installs the ECU update for the digital instrument cluster with improved software according to the CTI. The KBA is investigating the action under reference number “013028” and the manufacturer’s internal code is “230S15/231025“.
