Kia is recalling 41,924 vehicles of the EV9 model series manufactured between 2023 and 2024 to authorised workshops worldwide. The reason for the recall is a fault in the software of the integrated braking system that can lead to insufficient brake pressure being built up when using the parking assistant (remote control) at speeds of max. 3 km/h.
At an authorised workshop, the software of the integrated electronic brake (IEB) is updated.
The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “14548R“. The internal manufacturer code is “241164“.

This notification is purely informative for the vehicle type you have selected. As these deficiencies often relate to specific components (engine type, bodywork, equipment), the recall may not apply to all vehicles of this type. For more detailed information on possible recalls for your vehicle, please contact an authorised workshop (see below at “What the owner should do?”).
What the owner should do?
If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.
If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
