Jeep Grand Cherokee: Faulty Rear Headrests

Jeep-Grand-Cherokee-2023-2024-rear-headrests-faulty

Jeep is recalling 133,917 Gran Cherokee vehicles manufactured between 16 May 2023 and 30 January 2024 to authorized workshops worldwide. The reason for the recall is that the head restraints in the second row of seats do not lock properly. There is an increased risk of injury in the event of a relevant accident.

At an authorized workshop, the head restraints will be checked and, if necessary, replaced.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “15230R“. The internal manufacturer code is “20C“.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
