Jeep is recalling 7,243 Compass and Renegade models built between 2022 and 2023. The reason for the recall is a defect in the hybrid drive battery, which can lead to overheating and fire.

The serial number of the PBU valve is checked in the workshop and the battery is replaced if necessary. The KBA is monitoring the measure under the reference number “012858” and the manufacturer-internal code is “59A“.
