Jeep is recalling 39,638 Cherokees built between 2015 and 2016 worldwide. The reason for the measure is that damage to the differential gear can lead to loss of drive power and/or parking function.
In the workshop, affected vehicles receive a reprogramming of the software of the drive train control unit (DCM) and the electric parking brake (EPB). The KBA monitors the measure under the reference number “012851” and the internal manufacturer code is “45A“.
