Jeep-Cherokee-2016-differential-gear-kba

Jeep is recalling 39,638 Cherokees built between 2015 and 2016 worldwide. The reason for the measure is that damage to the differential gear can lead to loss of drive power and/or parking function.

In the workshop, affected vehicles receive a reprogramming of the software of the drive train control unit (DCM) and the electric parking brake (EPB). The KBA monitors the measure under the reference number “012851” and the internal manufacturer code is “45A“.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
