hyundai-ioniq-5n-left-foot-brake-kba

Hyundai is recalling 4,580 Ioniq 5 N vehicles manufactured between 13 March 2023 and 11 December 2024 to authorized workshops worldwide. The reason for the recall is that if the ‘Left Foot Braking’ function is activated, faulty software may result in reduced braking performance due to depressurisation of the ABS system.

In an authorized workshop, the associated IEB and VCU software will be updated.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “15208R“. The internal manufacturer code is “51D105“.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
