Honda recalls over two million cars due to possible steering problem

Honda-Civic-steering-problem-kba

Honda is recalling 2,305,153 vehicles of the Civic, CR-V and ZR-V model series manufactured between 2021 and 2024. The reason for the recall is an insufficient amount of grease in the steering gearbox that may lead to restricted steering.

At an authorised workshop, an inner spring of the steering gear is replaced and grease is added. If necessary, the steering gear is replaced.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “14750R“. The internal manufacturer code is “6JP“.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
