Some Honda CR-Vs may have the wrong towbar fitted

Honda-CR-V-tazne-zarizeni-kba

Honda is recalling 642 vehicles of the CR-V E:HEV and CR-V E:PHEV model series manufactured between 1. 4. 2023 and 1. 3. 2024. The reason for the recall is an incorrect labelling of the trailer coupling that could have led to it being attached to the wrong vehicle. As a result, there is a risk of fire due to a short circuit in the event of an accident.

At an authorised workshop, the trailer coupling is checked and replaced if necessary.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “14731R“. The internal manufacturer code is “6LV“.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
