Honda-Civic-ecu-reset-kba

Honda is recalling 82,534 Civic and CR-V model years 2021 to 2023 to the workshop worldwide. The reason for the measure is a programming error, which under certain conditions leads to the resetting of the FI ECU. This leads to a deviation from the OBD regulations.

In the workshop, the affected vehicles will receive a software update. The KBA is investigating the recall under reference number “012962” and the internal manufacturer code is “6EU“.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
