Ford is recalling 4,529 Ranger models built between 2022 and 2023 to workshops worldwide. The reason for the recall is that the child lock in the area of the rear door lock has to be set manually, but the vehicles are equipped with an incorrect control panel. This falsely suggests locking at the push of a button.
The wrong switch is replaced in the workshop. The KBA investigates the measure under reference number “013067“, and the internal manufacturer code is “23S38“.

This notification is purely informative for the vehicle type you have selected. For more detailed information on possible recalls for your vehicle, please contact an authorised workshop (see below at “What the owner should do?”).
What the owner should do?
If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.
If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
