Ford Puma may experience malfunctions in the hybrid system

ford-puma--software-error-kba

Ford is recalling 59,276 vehicles of the Puma model series manufactured between 1. 2. 2024 and 8. 1. 2025. The reason for the recall is a software error that causes malfunctions in the hybrid system (no torque assistance, start-stop failure) and thus increased exhaust emissions.

At an authorised workshop, the BECM software is updated.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “15243R“. The internal manufacturer code is “25E03“.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
