Fiat is recalling 506 vehicles of the Fiat 500 and 50 of the Abarth 500 model series manufactured between 14. 3. 2024 and 11. 6. 2024. The reason for the recall is a fault in the radio software that leads to deviation from regulations in traffic sign recognition.
The radio software is updated using the OTA (Over The Air) method. The vehicle receives a silent software update, which must be accepted by the user on the infotainment screen.
The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference numbers “14740R“ and “14741R“. The internal manufacturer codes are “6849“ and “6862“.
