Emergency call does not work on several Mercedes-Benz models

Mercedes-Benz-2017-2024-faulty-emergency-call

Mercedes-Benz is recalling 35,454 A-Class, AMG GT, B-Class, C-Class, CLA, CLS, E-Class, EQA, GLA, GLB, GLC, GLE, GLS and SLC vehicles manufactured between 2017 and 2024 to authorized workshops worldwide. The reason for the recall is that an error in the communication module prevents an emergency call from being made.

In an authorised workshop, the communication module will be repaired.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “14483R“. The internal manufacturer code is “5494207“.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
