Dodge is recalling 3,183 RAM vehicles manufactured between 2016 and 2020 to authorized workshops worldwide. The reason for the recall is that the curtain airbags may burst during deployment, which could result in parts of the gas generator or housing being propelled into the vehicle interior, potentially injuring the occupants.
In an authorized workshop, the curtain airbags will be replaced.
The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “15033R“. The internal manufacturer code is “05C“.
