Dacia Duster: Rubbed cable can lead to ABS/ESP malfunction

Dacia-Duster-2024-abs-esp-kba

Dacia is recalling 3,000 vehicles of the Duster model series manufactured between 19. 6. 2024 and 3. 9. 2024. The reason for the recall is the rear ABS wiring harness that can rub against the tyre sidewall, which can lead to failure of the ABS/ESP assistance systems.

The recall applies only to Duster 4×4s with manual gearbox: TL8, 6 gears.

At an authorised workshop, the ABS wiring harness at the rear should be checked for the fastening clip on the shock absorber bracket, and the wiring harness or harnesses should be replaced if necessary.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “15066R“. The internal manufacturer code is “0EGV“.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
