On the electric version of the Citroën ë-C4, the rear coil springs and their mounts can come loose from the vehicle while driving.

Citroën is recalling its electric ë-C4 model into workshops. The rear coil springs and their brackets could come loose while driving and fall out onto the road. Worldwide, the recall affects 8,770 electric vehicles built between May 2020 and August 2021.

As a remedy, a repair of about half an hour with the manufacturer’s internal code “HWH” is scheduled, during which the rear coil springs and their brackets will be replaced.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
