Citroen is recalling 87,953 C4s of the model years 2020 to 2022 to the workshop worldwide. The reason for the recall is a limited E-Call function (autonomous telematics control unit (BTA)). In the worst case, this can lead to poor handling of the automatic re-call by the call centre in the event of a call interruption.
As a corrective measure, a software update is carried out over the air. The KBA monitors the measure under the reference number “013082” and the manufacturer’s internal code is “JVV“.

This notification is purely informative for the vehicle type you have selected. As these deficiencies often relate to specific components (engine type, bodywork, equipment), the recall may not apply to all vehicles of this type. For more detailed information on possible recalls for your vehicle, please contact an authorised workshop (see below at “What the owner should do?”).
What the owner should do?
If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.
If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
