Brake Assistant System failure with Mini

Mini-Aceman-brake-assist-kba

Mini is recalling 421 vehicles of the Aceman, Cooper and Countryman models manufactured between 2023 and 2024 to authorised workshops worldwide. The reason for the recall is that a defective weld seam on the servomotor can break under high brake pressure, causing the Brake Assistant System, including ESP and ABS, to fail.

In an authorised workshop, the hydraulic unit of the brake will be replaced.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “14326R“. The internal manufacturer code is “0034950200“.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
