Overview of recalls in the 15th week of 2025
Seven recalls for 16 models of six makes were announced via EU Safety Gate in the 15th week of 2025. Four recalls for 11 models of four manufacturers were published by the German Motor Vehicle Authority (KBA).
Two recalls have been announced by Citroen, while one recall each will be found this week in the European Safety Gate system for the Hyundai, Opel, Peugeot, Toyota and Volvo.
Chrysler, Jeep, Kia, Peugeot and Seat are all recalling through the KBA.

Overheating when fully charged
Specific problems with the high-voltage battery may cause the battery cells to overheat when fully charged in almost 60,000 Volvo cars from 2020 to 2022. The Volvo V90, V60, S90, S60, XC90 and XC60 models may be at risk of a vehicle fire – see links in the table below.
Engine failure while driving
More than 23,000 Peugeots built between May 2022 and March 2023 may experience difficulty starting or engine failure due to a software fault in the battery management system. Some Peugeot 208, 2008, Partner, Rifter, Expert and Traveller models are being recalled.
15,679 Citroen Berlingo, C4, C4X, Spacetourer and Jumpy models manufactured between 6 May 2022 and 3 April 2023 are also at risk of sudden engine stop while driving. The links are again at the bottom of the table.
Risk of fire
Nearly 19,000 Chrysler Pacificas built between 2016 and 2018 could be affected by a sudden high-voltage battery fire. The HV-BPCM control unit, which monitors the operating condition of the battery pack assembly and detects conditions that could lead to a fire, must be updated at an authorised workshop.
