Audi is recalling 18,652 Q7, A8 and Q8 vehicles manufactured between 22 August 2019 and 31 July 2024 to authorized workshops worldwide. The reason for the recall is that the cell modules of the high-voltage battery may overheat during charging. There is a risk of fire.
At an authorized workshop, the software for the high-voltage battery will be updated.
The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “15663R“. The internal manufacturer code is “93QQ“.
