Four models of two car manufacturers were recalled at the 31th week of 2018 through the Rapex system. Mitsubishi and Toyota announced one recall each. Fuel leakage threatens the new Ducati Panigale motorcycles.
Mitsubishi ASX from 2010 to 2014 has encountered a problem with water penetration into the front wiper motor, which can cause internal corrosion and subsequent failure. The recall was announced in November 2017 – we wrote here. A similar defect also occurred with Mitsubishi Outlander (2007 – 2012) and with the sister models Peugeot 4008 (2011 – 2014) and Citroën C-Crosser (2007 – 2012).
The reason for this weeks Mitsubishi recall is corrosion again – this time, however, on the parking brake lever shaft, which may become stuck. The parking brake may than be less effective or may fail completely. It concerns Mitsubishi ASX (2013 – 2016), Mitsubishi Outlander (2013 – 2016) and Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV (2014 – 2016).
Toyota ProAce
Toyota utility van with French roots had a number of diseases in the past. Since the last year´s February, a fourth recall has been announced, with seven defects being repaired at the very first – we wrote here. This time, the recall comes to cars equipped with a two-litre diesel engine manufactured between 2 June and 2 July 2018. An oil plug located on the side of the engine may not be properly tightened.
Motorcycles
Just like last week, there is again a new Ducati motorcycle recall in our moto-recalls.eu subsection. The risk of fuel leakage from the fuel tank and the subsequent risk of fire appears on the Panigale model with the production date from January to July 2018.
