Alfa Romeo is recalling 1,452 Giulia and Stelvio from the model years 2016 to 2021. The reason for the recall is an excessive clamping force of the parking brake due to a fault in the brake system module. This can cause the carbon-ceramic brake disc to break, increasing the risk of an accident.
The software of the brake system module (BSM) is updated in the workshop. The KBA monitors the recall under the reference number “012895“, and the manufacturer’s internal code is “6637“.

What the owner should do?
If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.
If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
