Overview of recalls in the 45th week of 2025
Seven recalls for 24 models of seven brands were announced via EU Safety Gate in the 45th week of 2025. Three recalls for 12 models of three manufacturers have been published by the German Motor Vehicle Authority (KBA).
Two recalls were announced this week by Peugeot and Toyota, and one recall each by Audi, Citroen, Jeep, Lexus and Opel in the European Safety Gate system.
Audi, BMW and Volkswagen are recalling vehicles through the German KBA authority.

Rear-view cameras
A software issue has been identified that may cause the parking assist control unit, which works with the panoramic monitor (PVM) to display the rear camera image, to freeze briefly when reversing in 1,024,407 Toyota a Lexus vehicles. This fault occurs when reverse gear is engaged shortly after starting or restarting the vehicle. Stop & Start
A month ago, we wrote about a fault in the body control module (BCM) that prevented the engine from switching off in start-stop mode in connection with Citroën and Jeep models. This week, Safety Gate has added the 2023 and 2024 Peugeot 508 and 5008 models to the list of recalled vehicles.
Airbags
Airbag recalls affect millions of cars worldwide, with new models being added all the time. This week, the German KBA authority added additional older Audi and BMW models to its list. You can find an overview of these in the linked articles below.
