The car Toyota Hybrid Excel 2021 bought new. It has travelled less than 2000 miles in 9months and during that time…2 recalls a broken bonnet release cable ( necessitating a full removal of front panels in order to fix). The electronics had a ‘mind of its own’.. with what can only be considered intermitent in operation. Suggest Toyota drop complicated systems hardware ( electronics) and software and get back to manufacturing great cars….as they once used to. Overall a good runner but less efficient (mpg) than our previous Auris ( an excellent vehicle apart from ease by which the catalytic converter was stolen). If you are considering a Yaris…take it for an extended pre-purchase run … as it takes time to determine its suitability of purpose.

Only 1500km from new, so too early to tell. By the way, today I took it to the dealer for the first recall. Re programming of the skid ecu. Will do a more detailed review later.
