Renault has been recalling 24,361 Megane, Scenic, and Talisman models to the workshop worldwide since the end of June.
The reason is a “non-compliant fuel line”, as Martin Zimmermann, Board Member for Communication at Renault Deutschland AG, confirmed to the kfz-rueckrufe.de website.
The problematic vehicles rolled off the production line between 20 September 2018 and 27 May 2019 (Scenic and Talisman from the Douai plant) and 8 November 2018 to 20 June 2019 (Megane from the Palencia factory).
According to the German Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA), the vehicles are at risk of “fuel leakage and fuel smell”. The necessary fuel line replacement should take between 30 and 45 minutes at an authorized service center.
The recall runs under the internal code “0D73”.
