Toyota Yaris (2020 – 2021)

Published on 25. 03. 2022

Problem description:

The radar sensor may malfunction due to a faulty installation. This can result in a failure to detect a vehicle in front through the PCS (pre-collision system), which will not provide warnings or brake assistance and the vehicle will not show the driver a message or indicator that the PCS is not working. This may increase the risk of an accident.

The Toyota Yaris and Toyota GR Yaris vehicles affected by this recall were manufactured between 6 July 2020 and 21 June 2021 resp. 24 June 2020 and 2 August 2021.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a Toyota dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
