Mitsubishi ASX (2014 – 2015)

Published on 19. 04. 2021

Problem description:

The Fluorine anti-rust coating of the ramp shaft for the rear parking brake may peel off, allowing water to penetrate inside and rust the shaft and the internal calliper.

As the result, the shaft could become stuck, causing decreased parking brake force, leading to an increased risk of an accident.

The Model Year 2015 Mitsubishi ASX models are affected by this recall.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a Mitsubishi dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
