Problem Description

The drain hose of the air conditioning system may not have been correctly installed. Consequently, condensed water could enter the passenger compartment and damage or short-circuit several electric components, causing the engine to stop or run in emergency mode while driving, increasing the risk of accident.

The Mercedes-Benz GLE models affected by this recall were manufactured between 23 August 2018 and 5 August 2019.
