Due to inadequate corrosion protection, the integral subframe of the front axle may corrode, which could impair its operational strength and the connection of other components. This could have an impact on the steering capability of the vehicle, increasing the risk of an accident.
The Mercedes-Benz A-Class vehicles affected by this recall were manufactured between 2 May 2019 and 17 July 2020.
