Mazda CX-30 (2019)

Mazda-CX-30-PCM-i-stop-clutch-recall

Due to inappropriate software, the powertrain control module (PCM) may incorrectly judge the half clutch condition as a clutch disengaged condition and lower the engine torque to reduce the engine speed to idling condition.

This can cause the engine to stall, increasing the risk of an accident.

The Mazda CX-30 models affected by this recall were manufactured between 7 May 2019 to 30 August 2019.

Model series DM equipped with Mazda M Hybrid and automatic idling restart (IR) system.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
