The brake booster pump motor may stop working due to a defective plastic brush holder. As a result, the braking assistance could be lost completely after several attempts to apply the brake pedal. A sudden and complete loss of braking assistance while driving could increase the vehicle stopping distance and may increase the risk of an accident.
The Lexus ES 300h models affected by this recall were manufactured between 26 April 2019 and 6 June 2019.
