Honda Civic (2018 – 2019)

Published on 21. 07. 2020

Problem description:

Due to inappropriate molding conditions, the density of the resin for the low-pressure fuel pump impeller is reduced, causing it to swell and deform by the fuel. Consequently, the impeller interferes with the pump cover and makes the fuel pump inoperative.

As a result, the engine may stall, increasing the risk of an accident.

The Honda Civic models affected by this recall were manufactured between 2018 and 2019.

Honda recall code: 6FE

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a Honda dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
