Opel has announced a recall for the MY 2018/2019 Corsa and Adam models equipped with 1.2-liter, 1.4-liter petrol engines and 1.4-liter LPG engines. The lambda sensor may not operate properly after driving more than 50,000 kilometers and the Euro 6d nitrogen oxide limit value may be exceeded.
According to Opel, this defect is not safety-related and can only occur after running a certain mileage, therefore no action is required by the German Federal Motor Vehicle Authority (KBA).
The recall internal code is “E191900462 (19-N-036)“. In Germany, where 54,126 cars are involved, Opel has begun to inform its customers a month ago. On the affected vehicles, the engine control unit software will be updated. This lambda sensor issue affects 209,000 vehicles worldwide.
