Opel Grandland: Risk of steering control loss

Opel-Grandland-2024-Steering-Control-Loss

Opel is recalling 6,372 vehicles of the Grandland model series manufactured in 2024 to authorised workshops worldwide. The reason for the recall is that missing screw connections between the ball joint bracket and the control arm can lead to the wheel becoming misaligned, restricting steering ability or even causing a complete loss of steering control.

At an authorised workshop, the ball joint brackets on the left and right side will be replaced.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “14680R“. The internal manufacturer code is “KQG“.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
