Opel is recalling 5,178 Grandland X of the model years 2019 to 2022 to the workshop worldwide. The reason for the measure is a fault in the cells of the drive battery, which can lead to overheating, smoke development and possibly fire.
The control unit of the traction battery is remotely charged with an improved battery monitoring software. If a non-compliance is detected, the traction battery is replaced. The KBA monitors the measure under the reference number “012769” and the internal manufacturer code is “KES“.

What the owner should do?
If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.
If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
