Mercedes GLE: The accelerator pedal can get stuck

Mercedes-Benz is recalling 882 GLE vehicles manufactured in 2023 to authorised workshops worldwide. The reason for the recall is that a faulty spot welds on the body shell bracket of the accelerator pedal can cause the pedal to get stuck in the actuated position and thus impair the actuation of the brake pedal.

In an authorised workshop, the welding points are drilled out on the body shell support and reinforced with rivets.

The KBA monitors the recall under the reference number “013608“. The internal manufacturer code is “2990005“.
