Problem Description

There may be contact between the main wiring and the windscreen wipers mechanism which might cause the engine to fail to start or the windscreen wipers to stop unexpectedly.

Insufficient tightening of the bolt and nut in the lower suspension arm may affect the steering when the vehicle is being driven.

The hand brake cable may detach causing the hand brake to not work.

The recall affects 2015.model year vehicles.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you’ll need the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) for your car – this is a 17 characters code that appears on the chassis plate of your car or – on most UK-registered cars – in the bottom-left corner of your windscreen.

You should make contact with a Opel dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details. Usually that’ll be your nearest franchised dealership, or ‘main dealer’ as they’re sometimes known.

If you wish fully comprehensive vehicle check, with more than 80 data points about the history of the car, then we suggest going to HPI-Check, which provides information on a specific vehicle using also the vehicle registration number.
