Lighting problems with Land Rover; rear axle cracks with Citroen and Opel (week 31/23)

This week’s recalls:
– Land Rover Range Rover – headlights and taillights
– Citroen, Opel – cracks on the rear axle
– Ford Fiesta – lower ball joint
– Toyota ProAce – charging cable


Seven recalls for eight models of six carmakers were announced via Rapex in the 31st week of 2023. Five more recalls were announced by the German Motor Vehicle Authority (KBA).

Two recalls have been issued by Land Rover, while Citroen, Ford, Mercedes-Benz, Opel and Toyota have one each at Rapex.

BMW, Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan and Opel are also recalling through the KBA.

Rapex Recalls announced in the 31st week of 2023

Make, Model (years) Problem
Citroen C3 (2022) Due to the insufficient hardness of the steel, cracks may appear in the rear axle cross member.
Citroen C3 Aircross (2022) Due to the insufficient hardness of the steel, cracks may appear in the rear axle cross member.
Ford Fiesta (2023) The screw/nut of the front suspension lower ball joint is not correctly tightened.
Land Rover Range Rover (2022 – 2023) The tail lamp connecting cable may be damaged and cause the tail lamp to fail.
Land Rover Range Rover / Sport (2023) The headlamp assemblies could fail when the vehicle is started or switched off.
Mercedes-Benz C-Class (2021 – 2023) The tightening torque on the screw connections on certain 12V and 48V ground points may be insufficient.
Opel Crossland (2022) Due to the insufficient hardness of the steel, cracks may appear in the rear axle cross member.
Toyota ProAce (2023) The safety function (charge pin temperature sensor) of the charging cable may fail.
Toyota ProAce City (2023) The safety function (charge pin temperature sensor) of the charging cable may fail.
