3 recalls for 1 Lancia model in 2019
In 2019, Lancia announced three recalls through the EU Rapex system. All of them related to the Ypsilon model.
The right front drive shaft may be defective and may crack with the Lancia Ypsilon produced between the 7 October 2018 to 11 December 2018.
The other two recalls are small scale and we haven’t added them to our archive. Some cars manufactured on 24 February may have a problem with the steering track rod (Rapex Alert A12/0923/19), while with the others produced on 6 and 7 September 2018, the steering column height adjustment mechanism may not work properly (Rapex Alert A12/0365/19).
How can you check the recalls by VIN?
It will only cost you your time because such information is provided for free. Free of charge are usually also all the repairs that are related to the recall. It doesn’t matter whether you are the first, second or even third owner. It doesn’t even matter whether you have been to Lancia authorized service regularly, occasionally or never before.

If you wish to get fully comprehensive VIN lookup, with more than 80 data points about the history of the car, then we suggest going to HPI-Check, which provides information on a specific vehicle using also the vehicle registration number.
What is a VIN code?
The VIN code is a unique identification number that is embossed on the body of the car and shown on the ID card. In some cars, it can also be found in the frame under the windscreen. It is made up of a unique combination of 17 letters and numbers.
