Which Fiat models are being recalled in 2019?

12 recalls for 7 Fiat models in 2019

In 2019, Fiat announced 12 recalls involving 7 models through the EU Rapex system. The Talento (4) and Ducato (2) were the most recalled models.

We’ve sorted all 2019 recalls according to the model into a table below.

Four recalls were announced by Fiat for the Talento van. Two of them due to problems with the parking brake, one for unfastened seat belts and the fourth for possible fuel tank rupture.

The larger van Ducato was recalled twice. Incorrectly installed fuel lines can lead to fuel leaks. An incorrectly fastened battery can move while driving and can cause a short circuit. A counterweight mounted on the back of the floor may fall off the Fiat Scudo.

With the Fiat 124 Spider, a faulty software can cause an inadvertent downshifting of the automatic transmission, while with the Fiat 500 from the end of 2018, the right front drive shaft is faulty and may break.

Even if you don’t see your car in the table below, it doesn’t mean it was not the subject of a recall sometime in the past. The best way to verify whether a particular car is affected by some recall is to contact a Fiat Authorized Service and ask for the VIN code to be checked not only for recalls but also for various Service bulletins.

It will only cost you your time because such information is provided for free. Free of charge are usually also all the repairs that are related to the recall. It doesn’t matter whether you are the first, second or even third owner. It doesn’t even matter whether you have been to Fiat authorized service regularly, occasionally or never before.

What is a VIN code?
The VIN code is a unique identification number that is embossed on the body of the car and shown on the ID card. In some cars, it can also be found in the frame under the windscreen. It is made up of a unique combination of 17 letters and numbers.
