ford-transit-custom-speeding-kba

Ford is recalling 18,584 vehicles of the Transit Custom model series manufactured between 11. 7. 2023 and 4. 4. 2025. The reason for the recall is exceeding the maximum speed in purely electric mode (the display is limited to 160, but 180 km/h can be driven).

At an authorised workshop, the software for the powertrain control unit (PCM) is updated.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) monitors the recall under the reference number “15193R“. The internal manufacturer code is “25C11“.

What the owner should do?

If you read about a recall that you think may affect your car, you should make immediate contact with a dealer or workshop that’s been officially authorised to perform repairs on behalf of the manufacturer and ask for the details.

If you wish to know more about eventual problems of a specific car (e.g. real mileage, potential traffic accidents damages, odometer rollback, repairs, etc.), then we suggest going to HPI-Check.
