Which Chrysler models are being recalled in 2019?

2 recalls for 2 Chrysler models in 2019

In 2019, Chrysler announced two recalls through the EU Rapex system, involving models Chrysler 300 and Pacifica.

Both Chrysler’s recalls appeared in August. The Chrysler 300/300C produced between 2009 – 2016 is recalled to replace the passenger airbag inflator.

Pacifica models manufactured between October 2017 to February 2018 may have an insufficiently secured the ball joint of the front right lower control arm.

Some Chrysler models also appeared in another mass recall action. However, it’s rather a recall for fire extinguishers, so we did not include it in our archive. It can be found on the Rapex website under the code A12/0280/19.

For completeness we are also adding models concerned: Cirrus (JS) 2007~2014, Sebring (JS) 2007~2014, Town and Country (RT) 2008~2016, 200 (UF) 2016~2017, Pacifica (RU) 2017~2018, PT Cruiser (PT) 2003~2006, Concorde (LH) 2004~2004, 300 (LH) 2004~2004, Sebring (JR) 2004~2006, Voyager (RG) 2004~2007, 300 (LX) 2005~2018 300 (LE) 2006~2007.

Even if you don’t see your car in the table below, it doesn’t mean it was not the subject of a recall sometime in the past. The best way to verify whether a particular car is affected by some recall is to contact a Chrysler Authorized Service and ask for the VIN code to be checked not only for recalls but also for various Service bulletins.

It will only cost you your time because such information is provided for free. Free of charge are usually also all the repairs that are related to the recall. It doesn’t matter whether you are the first, second or even third owner. It doesn’t even matter whether you have been to Chrysler authorized service regularly, occasionally or never before.

If you wish to get fully comprehensive VIN lookup, with more than 80 data points about the history of the car, then we suggest going to HPI-Check, which provides information on a specific vehicle using also the vehicle registration number.

What is a VIN code?
The VIN code is a unique identification number that is embossed on the body of the car and shown on the ID card. In some cars, it can also be found in the frame under the windscreen. It is made up of a unique combination of 17 letters and numbers.
