Tesla: 2 recalls involving 2 models in 2017

Tesla issued two recalls affecting two of its models in 2017 according to the Rapex database. The Tesla S was recalled twice while Tesla X was recalled once. The oldest recalled cars were made in 2012.

The first reason for recalling the Model S was a problem with the passenger airbag gas generator found in April 2017. Its small fragments could cause injury to the crew.

In November, followed a recall affecting also the Model X. In the event of a crash, the left rear seat could move back which increases the risk of passenger injury. The relevant production years are shown in the link under each model.
