mitsubishi recalls

Mitsubishi announced five recalls in 2017 affecting 4 models according to Rapex. The ASX was recalled twice, while the Outlander, Pajero and electric i-MiEV once each. The oldest recalled car was the Pajero from 2007.

Two Mitsubishi recalls affected the ASX models. Both were announced in November and both also affected related Peugeot 4008 and Citroën C4 Aircross models. All of the recalled cars also share production years – from 2010 to 2014. The first recall was issued over gas springs which may not be able to hold the rear door open. The second recall is due to the wiper motor to which water may penetrate and cause a failure.

The Outlander from 2014-2015 may experience problems with the engine control unit and spark plugs. Old Pajeros (2007-2012) and an electric i-MiEV could suffer from insufficient crew protection in the event of an accident. The relevant production years are shown in the link under each model.
