In December 2017, Jeep recalled Compasses over a quite unusual issue. The recall was issued due to the replacement of the user manual since in the original version jump starting with cables were shown with reversed poles of the battery which could lead to injury.

Other recalls involved mainly issues with airbags and their accessories. An exception to the rule affected 2013-2016 Jeep Cherokees due to improperly tightened seat bolts. The relevant production years are shown in the link under each model.
